WELCOME TO CANADA'S OLDEST CONTINUALLY DANCING SQUARE DANCE CLUB:

On behalf of the Mavericks Square Dance Club, we welcome you to our Web site. As with our dances, it is always a pleasure to have you visit and by viewing our site, it provides another insight into our dancing activities. We trust you will find our site of interest and informative.

The Mavericks Club joined the square dancing community in 1952. We offer Mainstream Level Square Dancing and  Phase II⁺ Round dancing under the very capable direction of Lorne and Barb Clayton.  They offer dance music from various generations and the calling is both vibrant and innovative. As can be seen from our “Theme Dances”, we offer evenings of good dancing and fellowship.

Visitors are always welcome, both couples and singles.  Our dances are held on the 1^st and 3^rd Fridays of each month at the Royal Oak Hall on West Saanich Road (see map). Pre-Plus at 7:45 pm and Mainstream between 8-10 pm.  We warmly welcome your visitation.
